Well I've read a fuck load of fantasies and all sorts but I'm currently reading A Song of Ice and Fire series (which is class) and I'm just wondering does anyone else have any good series to suggest to peoples?

I'm currently reading the Sookie Stackhouse novels. I'm really not sure about them, but they're entertaining and they pass the time. Have the new Dexter novel to read too, but haven't read it yet. I also got the first 3 walking dead graphic novels - liked a lot!

Ahh the walking dead graphic novels are damn good!! never got into the books that True blood was based around myself though!!! I suggest Game of Thrones to anyone who's currently looking for a series to read or a series to watch! Also Wheel of Time as a series of books

Re reading The Lost World Jurassic Park. Great sequel, much better than the movie! Also rereading all of my Alan Moore comics on a regular basis. He's a great writer despite being a complete ass.

Ah yeah. I wish they could re release watchmen with the ending from the movie though. it was far better. the old ending looks severely dated at this stage.

Very true, Alan Moore won't let them do anything with it though. They only got the movie made because Dave Gibbons was broke and convinced Alan to let them make it. DC offered his the full rights back to everything and a huge contract if he would write some prequels or sequels. No dice. Grant Morrison is doing a new book now though with the original characters that the Watchmen were based off, the Charlton Characters: Blue Beetle, Captain Atom, Thunderbolt, The Question and Nightshade. Should be pretty cool. I'll read any book with the Question in it. One of the best characters in comics! ;D

A Song of Ice and Fire, HP Lovecraft, and the Kingkiller Chronicles. ASOIAF is all kinds of lethal.

Currently taking time out from reading (if I didn't, it'd suck up all my monies) Recently read the 4th book in the Mortal Instruments Series (Urban Fantasy - slightly girl oriented). Before that I think it was Never Let Me Go... reginald REALLY looking forward to the last WoT book though!

Re reading The Lost World Jurassic Park. Great sequel, much better than the movie! Too right. I enjoyed that a lot when I read it. same as the first one actually, a lot better than the movies. Gennaro's a legend in the first book. Haven't read it in years, but I can remember him having a fist fight with a raptor.

First one is great I've reread that 3 or 4 times, I'd say. Way more interesting than the movie.

Congo is a really good book by him too, if you ever get around to it.

Currently re-reading the 'His Dark Materials' series. I'm on 'The Subtle Knife' again now. It's fair good - especially since I never realised just how much I forgot about the series. Apart from a few vague memories (like the existence of the knife, for example) it feels a lot like reading a completely new series!

Never read that series, though I got constant advice to do so. Might pick it up from the library or something over the summer.
