www.politicsdaily.com/2010/07/24/on-her-wedding-day-saying-the-things-left-unsaid/Is it just me, or is this guy a complete dick? Seriously, posting what amounts to a love letter, online, on her wedding day?! Saying that he still loves her? Offering her 'absolution'? Telling her that he never told his Dad that they'd split up? (Even if he couldn't, because of dementia or something, why tell her?! Just to make her feel bad?) Going on about the imaginary wedding that he imagined for them on her ACTUAL WEDDING DAY. Being rampantly insulting to "those poor women of a certain age in New York who have put their careers ahead of their lives." Also this: "surely someone will one day dare to stand where she stood." Like anyone would want to after that. ***** And they'd split up at least two years before he wrote that - get the fuck over it, you self involved dickweed.

That's really creepy. Seems like he's just looking for pity. Trying to be the bigger man, while underhandedly grabbing for affection from her at the same time.
I'd be pretty pissed off if I was her.

I don't know, i didn't think it was as bad as Aoife is saying. That said, I don't think it was a great wedding present. I mean, if he didn't know what she wanted, he could have given her money or something.
I think if the article was a letter that he sent her on the day, it would be creepy, but as an open article, it might still be misguided, but clearly isn't underhanded.

Oh, I think it's way worse because it's a public thing... maybe because it feels to me like he's saying that the article is about her, when it really seems to be about him?
He doesn't really seem to be considering her as own person who's fully separate from him, and who has her own life that he probably knows little about. It's like he's obsessed with an idea rather than a person, and it's an idea which he uses solely as a lens to focus attention on himself.
Honestly, I find it disturbing.

Il be honest. It was a total TL;DR for me. The bits I skimmed were pretty dodgy tho. Id say hes gonna regret posting it.
