Sultans of Swing by Dire Straits, and learning it. Fairly Fun!

That song is so much win. One of my favourites from Guitar Hero 5, too. =P
Dire Straits are awesome. =D

Typically enough Jorden Ruddess has to have everyone listening to him because he's so very important. But hey, it's still an awesome video/version.

I know this isn't going to carry that much weight because I'm a big Dream Theater fan, but I think you've unnecessarily cast Ruddess in a negative light. It didn't sound like he was hogging the stage or wanking with his piano. Very nice version of the song, as you say, but I don't see why you'd say that he has to have everyone listening to him, if you could elaborate?

He throws in needless complexity everywhere - sometimes it's fine (there are flourishes he does that I think do sound good in the song) but he does it constantly. The intro is a bit much for me, but I guess it's fine because there's no singing over it. Then he does it in between lines of the song in the middle of the verse and chorus and that diverts attention. It feels like he's unwilling to just keep it simple - which is a bad thing.
I'm probably being a bit harh on him though because I don't like the version of 'Lazarus' he was involved in at all - I feel like he butchered it - so I'm being a little over-sensitive with his flourishes in this song now.

I was going to post about how I was listening to "Theme from Dave's shower - Fosterbrook" otherwise known as Stranglehold by Ted Nugent - but it looks like he's left the board.
